Both Chandra & Leigh have always been strong supporters, stylish inspirations & wonderful mouthpieces for Green with Glamour, so this week I’ve asked them to pick their favorites.
Now, The Watson Twins are obviously twins… and I’m sure at some point in their lives were outfitted in identical ensembles to play up that whole thing, but I find their styles to be markedly individualistic (i.e. they do not dress like one another OR like anyone else I know). While Chan’s look has an easy chic to it, vintage-y & natural (sweet dresses & skinny jeans), Leigh is an adventurer (metallic leggings & green shorts with suspenders – not together. well, maybe). If you saw one of her outfits on a hanger – you would say “no way!” And then you see it on Leigh and you say “YES!” She rocks it every damned time! Anyway, onto the picks (as written by Leigh & Chan respectively)…
Leigh
1) “my favorite things” scarf – Popomomo
This scarf is perfect for traveling in style!! I am on the road alot and when hitting different climates everyday it is important to have something versatile. This scarf is the perfect addition to a corduroy blazer, jean jacket or pea coat. For me the size is great cause if I’m out and it starts raining and I of course have forgotten my umbrella in the hotel room… I can pull this scarf over my head to make a lil’ hood. It’s key ladies!!
2) danburite wrap – Ecoskin
Cozy and chic!! I have been looking around town for the perfect long sweater that is an instant upgrade to any outfit and THIS IS IT! I love the hood and the color goes with anything. If it’s raining, adding this sweater under my favorite trench for warmth and style is the real hook-up.
3) skeleton pillow – Ortolan Organic
I love all of the GWG pillow picks. A pillow can take a boring boudoir or a lousy living room and turn it into a place with style and class. This pillow in particular is a favorite! I love the size and design. The simple colors make it a compliment to anything from rich velvet to a simple solid cotton. This pillow is unique and thats what I look for, the kind of decor my guests ask about. It’s a piece that elevates a room in an artistic way and its 100% organic!

1) dara cardigan – Lara Miller
I have been coveting this item ever since it caught my eye on GreenWithGlamour.com. I love adding things to my wardrobe that are basic and versatile… layers are key and this cardigan with a pair of simple jeans, scarf, tank top or a funky little black skirt could be dressed up or worn down. Loving it!
2) cherry burl bowl – Hitoshi Tanaka
I am a sucker for anything made of natural wood… furniture, jewelry, state parks, etc. For me texture is always key and this bowl with it’s silky smooth finish is a treat for the eye and the fingertips! I love the variation in tone, the dimples and cracks… an the fact that this is a natural material, so beautiful only mother nature could have created… let’s just say “I’m sold!”
3) hand painted espresso cups – Ceramica Palopo
Years ago my husband and I were in Arizona for a friends wedding, they pointed us in the direction of a sprawling store that had a plethora of hand painted items for Mexico and South America. So many colors, brush strokes and hours of labor go in to creating these functional works of art, it was love at first sight. I have also always had an obsession with coffee mugs, we have a collection at our co-op from 60’s mid-century modern and 70’s ceramic to English tea cups and souvenir mugs from across the country… the personality of these little guys would be a great addition to our cupboard of mugs.
